Les Coombes My first real experience with photography was at Humboldt State. My roommate was an all-around outdoorsman, a fellow Wildlife Management major and avid photographer, all of which gave me a unique exposure to an environment vastly different from my everyday Southern California suburban life. After retirement, I increased my travels with my wife to many new destinations. I photographed a boundless variety of wonders that each location offered using my newly acquired digital camera, a Canon 10D. I also joined the Redlands Camera Club which put me in contact with like-minded people. I eventually purchased a Canon 40D, later adding a Canon 100-400L lens, which increased my shooting skills immensely. Even though landscape and wildlife photography are my primary interests, I try to expose myself to its other forms as well.Photography has allowed me to view the world in an entirely different way and validates a quote I recently heard: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
