Featured Photographer - December 2012

Dave Roush I'm Dave Roush. I have been a member for well over a year now. My dad was an avid amateur photographer, he shot with a Nikon F3, a 4x5 view camera, and he had a Rolleiflex Twin Lens. I probably picked up my love for photography from him, though I certainly don't have his talents. I have been taking pictures most of my life, but really started to become passionate about it around 2005 when I picked up my first DSLR a Canon Digital Rebel(300D). I currently shoot a Canon EOS 7D and Digital Rebel XTi. I recently purchased my first PRO lens the EF 70-200 F4L IS USM. I also have the Canon 10-22, and a Tamron 28-75 F2.8, along with 2 other lenses. I also have a Canon 430EX flash, a Manfrotto tripod and monopod, along with several filters and memory cards. As for my future projects, I have all my dad's and grandfather's negatives dating back to the 30's and my goal is to go through them and scan to digital for both archival and to share with my family. I also want to take a few trips through the Southwest Desert to shoot a lot of landscape images and just to take in all the beauty that's before us.
