Alan Sponholz  I began my interest in photography when I was very young. During middle school we could not afford a 35 mm camera so I hung out with the students that were in photography classes and asked a lot of questions. I continued my interest and finally purchased my first camera while in the service. But I lacked the controls I was looking for. The processing labs just couldn't do what I was asking. So I am mostly self taught and have currently a mentor to guide me. Over the last six years I assembled a darkroom and finally got the control I was looking for. I develop and process black and white film all the way through to the print. I like to shoot portraits in black and white and have achieved the 1920 30's look and feel, I also enjoy shooting landscapes, wedding, product, and apply various techniques to the finished piece. And recently began shooting digital. With my background heavy in film (Old School) I have achieved very pleasing results. I look forward to continuing learning and growing in my craft.
